And the landing. I muted the recorded soundtrack because I had to do some time compression to stave off people getting bored and it doesn't sound quite as good at two times speed. I hope you get a decent impression of how awesome the day was. We really were spoiled. Thanks again Rodney for arranging it for us.

Excellent video... that's really an amazing place. There's still so much to discover. I'm used to mountains and rivers... not to land on islands.

Eeek! I uploaded the wrong version of the landing movie. I misspelled Rodneys name, I had corrected it but still managed to upload the wrong movie. Nice one Euan! >_<

Nice vids... and a great landing, right in the middle of the touchdown zone :)

One can only imagine the comments eminating from the 1900D and Dash-8 cockpit ;)

What is not heard above the Foo Fighters as we turn final is Rodney saying that we will touch down at the third set of touch down markers. We did exactly that.

I bet the pilots in the 1900D and Dash 8 were wistfully reminiscing about the years they spent flying Tomahawks, Warriors and Archers. :-)

Oh and that video was shot on my Canon S3 IS still camera in video mode. It still blows me away that I get reasonable quality video out of it.

Definitely a YouTube issue. I cannot open the file with my elevated privileges at YouTube so its no wonder that the embedded version is broken.
