I realized recently that 2013 is the clubs 80th birthday. Wow! Although the club has not been in continuous operation (there were a few years the club was in recess during WW2) it's still a fairly long time to be in the business of training pilots. The club is planning to do a few things to celebrate the landmark, we are hosting a leg of the 2013 New Zealand Air Safari, and we will host this years Central Area Rally (what I call the Regional Comps).
I sincerely hope the club will be around for another 80 years.
